Aviation fuel is high-grade petroleum fuel having additives to reduce risk of icing or explosion due to high temperature.

Typical Jet fuel consists of Kerosene, Naphthalene, Ethyl Benzene,  Trimethyl Benzene, Diethylene Glycol Monomethyl Ether, Alkyl Dithiothiadiazole  where kerosene is the biggest constituent.
